Affirming the Gift!

Took me a while to come on here and say this, but.....

Several times in life I've had dreams that have come to life. No one ever paid attention though (I think half the reason is that they don't care). One that freaked me out when I was a teenager, was a mate's house setting on fire. The next day it happened. Since I was only 16yrs old and didn't understand it all, they just kept on coming (not bad ones, but still) and it kept freaking me out. I was a big fan of the TV show 'Medium" and in it, she turned to alcohol to suppress them, so I started drinking.... and drinking... and drinking. I later told one of my cousins who told me that certain members of my Northland whanau also have the same thing. I still to this day keep drinking... and drinking and try to make sense out of the movie that played in my head overnight. It still happens every now and then but I keep it myself now. As much as I want it to go away, I just live with it and move on. "Moving on" and "drinking" - turning a blind eye is not the way to go about it, but I thought I'd share this experience with you all. I think in the end, no matter what I do it just isn't gonna go away. Sometimes I just wish it would." - QG Anderson 2.12.14

 Premonitions

• The best thing to do if you are encountering premonitions is not to panic • Keep a notepad and pen by your bedside • When you wake up in the morning, try to stay in your same position and relax • In your mind, drift closer to the dream • Do not think of the days activities. Stay close to the dream. • Start writing. • Document every detail, even the tiniest ones such as colors you saw, numbers that popped up and your feelings that you felt during the dream • Symbolism plays a huge role in premonitions. Do not take everything literal. Instead keep an open mind. • Date stamp each dream/premonition • Talk to your friends or family about it.-  Manawa Te Maru

"There have been times where it's literally non-stop. Waking up and seeing your dream, or the meaning of your dream happen right in front of you the next day is frightening. 80% of the time (rough guesstimate) it's positive, but even that doesn't feel comfortable. Dreaming of people you don't know, and meeting them the next day.... It's taken me a few months to come here and share this experience but I feel the time is right. Deep down I think I'm starting a journey and needed a starting line to get me on my way." - QG Anderson

Gifts can't be driven away. You can only abuse yourself into a belief that the things that come to you are gone. It is not unusual to have this gift, and to be troubled by it. What is unusual is the times we live in where there are no wise ones, or spiritual elders to teach your spirit and calm your nerves. With no one to connect you to your gift it is troubling and scary to be alive!

Often people like you have fears grounded in the fear of not being accepted. Not being accepted is the core fear. If your gift was socially understood and accepted this would be a different conversation. You see Fear sits across from Power. Power needs Clarity of Mind to function in its full capacity, but Fear stops all growth. That being said what to do? What is your next right step?

You have to sit quiet in your quiet place where ever that may be, and be still to hear yourself, and everything within your Being moving around making noise. At this point in your life you are basically a coward and used to that. You probably can't find a teacher, or like minded people to help you, so until then you have to learn to sit still with yourself and listen until that still and strong voice that knows you begins to give you the vision of and the feeling of truth and true Powers begin to surge into your body. Much the same way alcohol became acclimated into your system spiritual powers will surge into you. You just have to stop over analyzing and judging yourself. Other people's patterns and  your worries about how other people perceive you are unimportant, and need to be set aside, or escorted out of your central space elsewhere. Since you've undervalued yourself for son long, and cannot recognize your Beauty, or enjoy what makes you special you have to learn how to  inhale the value of Self until you remember yourself.

These are my words from what I've lived. May they help you. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 2.13.14
