Striking a pose the photographer, whomever he/she is, captured a stillness within Keshell Brown that elevates her appearance from object to an introduction to who she is as a woman becoming a woman. How that process is is hers alone. It belongs to the moment and the process of maturing into a woman, a lady perhaps in the deepest sense of the title.
