SACRED BEINGS

a french city street

“If you are a sacred being it does not matter where you live or what you do. All that matters is how you live, because sacredness is part of balance. If you live in a big city and maintain your balance and the purity of your spirit, you can live anywhere. It is not very difficult to live in a protected monastery as a monk and remain spiritually balanced. It is very difficult to have one foot in the physical manifestation of a chaotic city and to keep the other foot firmly implanted in the land of healthy spirit. It is the people of the cities who lose their souls first, and yet they are the one’s who make decisions for the rest of society. They are the one’s whose faces you see on TV every night. They are the one’s people tend to believe, even if they lost their souls long ago. So it is the cities that you need to work.”
