DREAMS illuminate

Part of the illusion within wealth is the way wealth can blend fantasy with the accumulation of wealth as a banner of arrival for a select few fond of telling others to dream big without giving them tools, or the trade secrets of finance and wealth to but a select few. But, alas wealth isn't the sum of existence, nor is fantasy the end result of good living. Wealth is an expendable commodity, in one way of looking at it, and fantasy is the dreams we come from and remember as reality. Science likes to listen to the dreamers and make manifest the dreams of the dreamers who tell their stories so well, or paint their dreams so well.  Wealth needs the fantasy, and fantasies need the release money provides to the dreamer bound by a need to give expression to the dreams constantly coming in the day and the night times. - Gregory E. A pregnant actress, Jennifer Love Hewitt out with a friend grabbed lunch at La Scala after doing some shopping in Beverly Hills, California last year (Jul 17, 2013). She was pregnant expecting her first child with "The Client List' co-star Brian Hallisay wearing a pastel purple and white shirt dress that must've flowed or seemed to float around her body creating a breathtaking event!

The picture is engaging and memorable, but being followed and photographed constantly has to harass the senses. It creates a lot of money throughout the entertainment food chain, but what it feels like most of us will never know. What we will be able to tell our grandchildren is how we allowed public spying to become part of our daily life. As if privacy didn't matter, and freedom didn't matter as much as the convenience of the toys we purchased we will have the daunting task of explaining how easy it was to be oblivious to the loss of freedoms and assumptions of freedom to our grandchildren. It won't be easy by any stretch of the imagination. I imagine a lot of denial will occur in many a living room a couple of decades from now, but the contrary proof will be on YouTube, and Facebook.

It is probing and it hit a nerve because the author of the question knows the business of entertainment, reality shows and gossip salivate for the next demise of a career, end of life, and the incarceration of a famous person. His question is telling the truth, and asking for the truth. The general public loves those things. There is depth to this question. The question is probing into belief systems. There are industries and you should know this whose income centers around this question. Gossip magazines, photographers, news services, the music industry. Need I go on?

There is a phrase commonly used that upon short examination is misleading. You use it. Most people do.  I understand why. It is the way the word 'technology' is used. All of a sudden (within the last decade) the word technology, and the evidence of technology and how it is thought of substitutes its vastness to simply refer to cellular phones, and IPADS, and such. The word usage has taken on a life force of its own. As an adult it either pains me or annoys me hearing children restricting language because of the narrow focus they are lead to believe is the totality of what technology encompasses. Men and women have been developing technologies since the earliest days of our arrival upon the Earth. The spiritual, scientific, pragmatic and practical technologies were dreamt and designed to answer questions and ease physical labor, or extend one's outreach beyond the narrow scope of the seen. In the 20th century the technology developed in the kitchen alone is staggering in its magnitude and to date has not stopped.

Technologies begin as an expansive dream, merge into ideas, and become the creative and often hard work of making manifest an idea from the mist of the intangible, but possible into the machines that work for us, or into the way of facilitating communication, which has been the drive of mankind for the length of our time on this planet. So, what is technology? It is the mechanisms that make our lives easier, our hands freer with the hope of giving us more time to meditate, explore, study and apply our knowledge. So much of our technologies took leisure from the hands of the wealthy, and gave to the poor the luxury of free time the wealthy believed was theirs alone. With such a gift it is often disappointing how free time and freed hands are today bound by a technology designed to offer some freedom to explore the other planes of our existence.  - Gregory E. Environmental Terrorists We ARE

Fracking is beyond political parties. The presence and the facts about things like this is rooted deep in the spirit and mindsets of Europeans. Unlearning all one knows releases powers within the individual. Imagine how it would be done collectively if Americans had the sophistication to operate at this level of reconciliation and action! The deeply rooted thinking and belief planted centuries ago before and during the European conquest of the world are manifesting in horrifying ways today. Staying on the surface and going back and forth in bantering sessions between the two parties is procrastination.

The thin shred of interest I could maintain watching a professional football game was in the half-time shows, and the brief attention the camera gave the cheerleaders. The marching bands and the cheer squads obviously worked hard to be on the grid, but at some point some narrow mind decided the game needed more men talking incessantly about the game, and the half time shows were cut. For me, it is mind numbing to hear endless talk about the statistics, and speculation. Apparently, I am in the minority. Ain't nothing to do about it so I don't watch the games. There are many other things to do, and thankfully there are a lot of things I am interested, like science, and lingerie football!

Yesterday's news talked about NFL cheerleaders. Wasn't much, but it share trivial information about the sport about their pay, for example. These women have careers and jobs. They could not live off the $75 to $150 a game. It is much more. There is a reality television show about life amongst the Dallas Cheerleaders. I watched about five episodes. Interesting. Passing

Black celebrities coloring their skin?


"Sad and weird. Pity, and too bad. She is at an age where she is who she is, and if she is that much out of touch with the depth of who she is, and has no relationship with her ancestors what can anyone do? Some are so deep into their discomfort they can be manipulated easily into all kinds of foolishness in a business as flighty and  unpredictable as show business.

Raised as a White Black Woman has its challenges. The actress, Tempestt Bledsoe, apparently (if this is true) is deep in a messy thought process." - Dawn Wolf (note: I read the actress has admitted to having vitiligo.)


Now there is an article in the online publication, Atlantic Black Star, titiled "10 Black Celebs Who Successfully Pass for White" Now, an attorney, Earlyne McCalister Thomas made a comment on this subject of passing I want to share. It is important her observation.

"Excuse me, but most of the people you listed HAVE NOT made it a point to deny their Black ancestry. Rashida Jones--who doesn't know that her father is Black? Soledad O'Brien has made it a point, well before her documentaries, that she is part Black. Same thing for Maya Rudolph. Oh, BTW, Maya's character in Bridesmaids could hardly have been considered to have been a "white" woman, when the man who played her father in the movie, was BLACK, and the mother was white. Just because some of the people mentioned are biracial, and may play white roles, doesn't necessarily mean they are passing--with the exception of Carol Channing--who didn't find out until she was in college, and living in an age when it wasn't unusual for very light-skinned Blacks to PASS." 

Another woman, Sdot Chambers, said something equally sharp: "I don't believe the article says that they denied their blackness, it states that they have successfully passed for white. (basically they were able to do so in their film careers."

Steve Edmonds pointed out to the uninitiated, "People, the term "passing" actually came from American white people. America need to really know their history before saying this is shallow or is garbage. Google Plessy vs Ferguson and read about the "one drop rule" Black people did not make this rule...White people did. Whether we like it or not its a ugly part of American History."

Evelyn is very close to me. She said, "It (passing) is very common amongst our race and people have their reasons. Some just call it love."

"I am familiar with the practice in some detail. But love?" I responded. "That element was never part of the equation. A lot had to do with survival and an inability to deal with the struggles of being Black, and others had a spiritual affinity with their other blood lines. The other side of the equation has to do with one's connection to their other non-white bloodlines. Black Americans more often than not despise anyone they perceive as 'one of us' who accepts and lives out their other heritages."

There is a lot to this subject white Americans have to take responsibility for. In fact, everything is their fault, their doing. But, the 21st century gives another slant to the problem for Black Americans in particular, and for the millions of people of color the world over damaged by the notions of white supremacy. All of us have a chance in this era to rectify, to rebuild, and tear down the crippling notions that white is better. It is a revolutionary idea without the freshness. There is nothing new about the idea of liberation from the bondage of one's sense of identity, but the European was thorough in his purging, and conquering of body, mind, spirit, land, and cultures. The entire concept and acceptance of 'passing' for white can become passé if the will to be one's self can grow stronger than the religion that supports its disbelief in self! If the concept of self expanded to its natural borders and included the generations to come, and the life force of the Earth, our Mother, and knew the relationships that held all worlds together the need to be white would become a joke, or a faint memory in time. - Gregory E. BLACK POWER BLACK WOMAN

African politics is a totally different terrain than here. Even in terms of democracy, democracy is relative to the country that you find it in. But the common denominator all over the world is the grabbing for wealth for the few and slave labor for the many. China has allowed the us and other multinationals to come into their country and create sweatshops. These sweatshops import goods to the US via walmart and other conglomerates. We just found out that even Whole Foods imports their 365 brands from China. China is our biggest importer. The question is, why would they go to another country and set up shop differently than they do in their own country??

Capitalism is a beast of an economic system that has taken reign over the entire world. It feeds into the basic nature of greed that resides in every human being... and over powers the sensibilities of fairness and harmonic cooperation. When the masses rise up within their ranks, overthrow their governments, have coups there is a change but only minimally. The oppressed become the oppressors and the cycle begins again.

Some people feel that they can do this by recreating the Capitalistic system towards fairness, but the very nature of it is to exploitative, if that is changed then it is no longer Capitalism but something else.

There has to be an inner rumbling among the masses, those who are oppressed, who know their culture and how they can run it in a more human way. It is difficult for outsiders to impose concepts on another's culture, a lesson the US and other invaders of their ilk have yet to learn.

On the other hand, the US hand picks who they want to call out for Human Rights abuses and Who they want to attack openly or decry their lack of Democracy, but that is another subject altogether.

Nana, you said it best.  There is a paradigm here in the States rigid, and resistant to truth telling the truth to our belief-systems.  I think the two most important figures of the 21st century are President Obama, and Ben laden. They have created a fire, a prick into this consciousness unlike anything preceding their era.  As a balance to this what will arise to the surface and jar us out of our stupor? Will it be the shock of the Womb Teachings we historical ignore, come from, and need?  I don't know. The time for profound change is nigh upon us, and the paradigm, the dance of fear that passes for patriotism, and greed for self-governance cannot live long.  We will die from it one day. –Gregory E. “All Praises Due to the Most High!

As we move forward, it will take a concerted effort of consciousness. Raising awareness of the planet, and human beings connection to it. A Collective mind set of resistance. A movement towards our intrinsic and beautiful humanity. A recognition that we live on one of the most beautiful planets in the solar system, and an understanding that if we do not evolve in consciousness of our connection to the planet, each other and the Universe, we will surely expire, as so many other planets have before us.

Protesting is overrated. It actually feeds the capitalistic monster. It feeds off the monies spent, the advertisement, the energy and the investments made into the economy of the city/state/police/government agencies, etc, where the protest is held. Again, making a concerted and intelligent effort to change from the inside out, to me is the strongest type of resistance.

I always say, that if we just change how and what we eat, buy only what we need, spend only what we have to, study where the things we do buy come from, and decide to only buy those things that do not destroy us/others or the planet, that change would be catastrophic. It would take a lot of work, but the benefit would lift humanity to it's rightful place as exalted in the eyes of the Creator.

We can complain, protest and right letters to the Congressmen, but until we close the purse strings, they will never listen or alter their ways to supporting the masses and not their banks. If we do not accept that it is our runaway consumerism that fuels the Capitalistic Economic Model, we will remain complicit and as much a part of the problem as the "other" villians.
