The Music Created Sound.

Women's Portraits Only (WPO)

Cello played by Audrey Hepburn in the 1957 film,
"Love in the Afternoon".

Cello held by Svetlana by Foto Alve
taken October 3, 2018 near Dornberk, Slovenia.

Sound is interpreted as an audible activity. It may be, and is just that, but the silence of movement is captured here. The young woman, Svetland, without clothes, feels all of life's elements: fire, water, air and Earth, our Mother, in the element of sound, touch and movement within stillness. There is a dance here. . . - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 10/5/18

Tribute to Audrey

Audrey Hepburn

"The beautiful, the talented, the incredible, Ms. Audrey Hepburn. For my money, she was one of the most beautiful actresses ever to grace the silver screen...such a lovely eyes; such a perfect face... But besides just being gorgeous, she had a tremendous heart as well. She worked tirelessly for many wonderful charities and used her celebrity to bring attention to the plight of the less fortunate around the world right up until the last moments of her life.

We miss you dearly Audrey, and will love you forever. Not just because you were a great beauty and an even greater artist, but because you cared so deeply about others and used your gifts to help them. You will inspire many, but there will never be another one like you!" - Super Hot 5.17.15

Forgiveness

"It takes years to achieve forgiveness. It is a process. It is not the easiest thing to teach. It has to be emulated. By example learning to walk, talk and forgive fall into the same category. It is through relationship with people who understand and know the process of forgiveness, who 'teach' it best that you learn how to forgive."

- Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 2012

Four Dimensions of Reconciliation:

Reconcile with God.
Reconcile with Self.
Reconcile with environment.
Reconcile with those you offended.

Three Perspectives on Change:

"One person with courage, like (Hugh) Hefner, is the majority!"

The Merits of Joy

"I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing...kissing a lot...I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles." ~ Audrey Hepburn, actress

Awesome Daily

Our feline creatures stirs every pore of a man's body storing up energies meant to be creative forces of  Nature, and in his  nature. Sex appeal is dangerous, and beneficial. Here is a riddle of existence. Pussy & Divinity one comes from the other which came first? - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 4.22.13

SURVIVAL OF THE THINKING

Model Hannah Doerksen embodies a concept of aloofness & the mysterious aspect of elegant womanhood captured by photographer Mikaela Lyrea stimulates thoughtful musings, and much later conversations. At first glance I am immediately placed in the historical context of a type of mystique Audrey Hepburn was known for sustaining in the eyes of her public. Those times birthed the necessity of  a mystique to survive as a woman, and to thwart the advances of the thousands of crude men in the shadows. What skills have been added to the survival mechanisms women must employ to walk and work in cities across the United States, and the Western world is dependent upon the level of crudeness of the men who walk and work in the cities.  - Gregory E. "There is more to sex appeal than just measurements. I don't need a bedroom to prove my womanliness. I can convey just as much sex appeal, picking apples off a tree or standing in the rain." - Audrey Hepburn

“She sure could, and the women I know who do control the room, imaginations and measure the stamina of discipline a good man needs to support, love and be with her!” – Gregory E. Woods

sacred whore series: ELEVATION OF THE SOUL

RETURN OF THE GODDESS: spiritual work

“It is time for women’s knowledge to be spoken, shown, and shared in a magical, mystial way. It is time for women to discover more about their own mysteries – their processes of menstruation and birth and the cycles of their emotions. It is time to share this with men. Many women say, ‘What can I share? I don’t understand it myself. ...Well, it is time for you to go within to say, ‘What are these feelings I have? If I had to explain to someone else what it is to be a woman, what would I explain? What can I do to become more of a goddess in a woman’s body – more of a magic maker?’ The Goddess within is the one who knows – who takes information from one system into another.” - from "Earth" by Barbara Marciniak

“That being said there is the work to be done. What are the rituals? Who are the right elders to learn from? How do I listen to my body if I don’t know how? How do I re-establish relationship with my blood? How does the process of moving from a mere believer to a place of knowing come about? Who are the pillars in this world, this state of being a woman? How does one make the stances, conduct the ceremonies, expand consciousness while living in a complex Western culture, or a poorer country left barren by Western powers? There are many questions to ask, answer, and apply.” ~ Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories

ELIZABETH TAYLOR: Intelligence to beauty

Elizabeth Taylor, as Cleopatra

ELIZABETH TAYLOR (1932 – 2011)

“Elizabeth Taylor, as Queen Cleopatra, in 1963, glorified an elitist idea Anglo-Americans needed to feel superior to the people they conquered, colonized, and subjugated to the worse of atrocities that began to swell to the surface when they destroyed the great library of Alexandria. From that act of terror the fuel to supplant themselves as the author and finisher of the knowledge Europeans received from the Black skinned Egyptians, and Nubians led up to, and was heralded within one of the greatest beauties, and talents of the 20th century. Her roles, and the jewelry she wore flaunted that history in the face of suppressed Africans in Africa, and throughout the Diaspora.

Elizabeth Taylor is all of the things she lived, and embodied; even the Goddess! She lived deeply, and America before cable TV, cell phones, the Internet was viewed and listened to differently, and I dare say, with deeper insight than today's women celebrities, many of whom, do not have the depth introspective living develops within a woman. Ms. Taylor's escapades ran parallel to my life too, and I, like every other person who read the papers, passed judgment, made comments, gawked in astonishment as her life crumbled, or rose to extraordinary heights, or raised the ire of our Puritan ethics, am affected by her death. Elizabeth Taylor’s life was a deep life in service to many, and magical to all.”

WORDS OF WISDOM

“Old age is youth revisited with lessons learned.” • Gregory E. Woods

“All species have gone through a long series of changes, adaptations, and, in some cases, failures. Certain species have become so prolific that they incapacitate another competing group. We have seen our own species expedite the extinction of certain birds, mammals, and the like ─ species which may, or may not have continued to flourish without human encroachment.

But I would like to infer a much different point. Nature has one universal law: the law the law of self-preservation. All species fight to the last molecule of life to defend this law. However, humans have created a species whose goal is to compete with itself ─ a very strange voluntary action. Why would we create machines that destroy the ability of average humans to work? Do the new positions created by technology bear out any higher nobility than, say, farming? Is there anything self-evident about technological efficiency? Where does one draw the line between efficiency and self-annihilation?” ─Brad Johnson, ‘The Bird that Highest’ (100)

‘Diluting religion to a non-confrontational amoebic structure failed. We can never beat the media in its battle. They choose the when, the where, and the how. And it wins every time, without exception. And do we learn? Do we take the battle to the deepest part of the human soul? No. We merge together into behemoth structures. We mimic the massive corporations we denounce. Like a dancer with the teacher, religion follows every step that the virtuals make, going so far as to make entertainment the focus and God peripheral.’

The Church’s response wasn’t unique. Educational systems dealt with media competition by reasoning ‘if we can’t get kids’ attention, we’ll change the way we teach them’. (Baruch) compared this reasoning with giving a child chocolate for breakfast, because it won’t eat bread.

“Small truths consist of replicas of larger truths and vice versa.” Baruch based this saying on the geometric principles of fractals any object contains infinitesimal replicas of that image. In other words, Baruch argued:

“If the smaller truth is feeding a child bread, the larger truth is to feed that same child a sound education and healthy spirituality.” (102)

“…let us not mistake Christianity for Christ. What is taught today does indeed cause blindness. Is there a difference between what certain churches teach today and what drove our Western world into five hundred years of intellectual bankruptcy? Christ taught enlightenment, not censorship. My God removes your blinders and lets the horses run onto freer pastures. Your Christianity dictates a path. Christ’s enlightenment opened endless paths.” (103)

“The perfect act has no consequences.” ─Bhagavad Gita

“There always a few who feel the weight of the yoke and cannot restrain themselves from attempting to shake it off. These are the men who never become tamed under subjection; these are the ones who, having good minds of their own, have further trained them by study and learning. Even if liberty had entirely perished from earth, such men would invent it. For them, slavery has no satisfaction, no matter how well disguised.” ─Etienne de la Boetie, Discourse on Voluntary Servitude

Carla Bruni

“I stand in total awe of existence. I don’t pretend to know what it’s all about.” ─Hugh Hefner, Playboy publisher

“This is the blessing of humankind, what separates us from the animals: to dream.”

“One of the great ironies in our society is that we celebrate freedom and then limit the parts of life where we should be most free.”
