WOMANHOOD: an aspect of it

“A coolness settles in on some of us as the years go by. It seems to find a place to rest within those who have learned to weather storms with a level mind. An instinctive urge to follow the directional pull to stabilize ones' emotions, as a young woman, follows the tradition of initiates learning to control energies. This type of spirituality lends itself to a woman’s cool beauty as she matures into a woman. Young women silently wonder what they are looking at in an older woman who embodies the elements of coolness with their maturity, and men sometimes cannot grasp its meaning. Those who grasp the essence of it in their spirit find ways to define it and lose it into the wind because it cannot be contained. This is the way of Mystery, and the beauty of it.” –Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories
