Is elegance an achievement?

"I saw Italian actress Alessia Piovan in a movie on SUNDANCE this weekend.  She was in the Italian movie, "Girl by the Lake". A murder mystery it is, the film, but something elegant about the whole film captivated me. It is the taste of the movie that sticks with me. The importance of elegance is evident in some cultures, and not in others. It is curious and seldom spoken of in many cultures.  When it does come up in American culture often it is misused, but more oft' than not it is misunderstood, underrated, and de-emphasised.  Why and how did this happen?  I don't know.  Do you?" -Gregory E.
