LOVE

children dancing in brazil

“The one connecting element that drives us to excel, to think and dream is the validation that comes from being loved, or loved by someone we admire, loved by those who love us, and most importantly ‘see us’. The controversies of our time, the issues of the day, the separation between heart and mind, the disconnect between people and the earth yearn for the connecting element that unites, bridges, gathers and rejoices in the dark places the coming of light. It is a powerful time we live in, and the darkness we see can easily be perceived another way that befuddles an average mind and opens up gates of creativity in our children who look to us for validation, love, acceptance, and long to be seen!

The weaving of concentric teaching circles our children need is basic to childhood development. The real dilemma of our children’s lives lies within the adults whom I lovingly refer to as wounded children. The needs of wounded children are the catalyst healer’s need to mend, to balance, to care for, and love the wounds into the concentric circles of healing that will balance the lives of parents, teachers, politicians, and others who presently contribute to the darkness of existence we are all struggling with.

Love is a powerful element, a force to be reckoned with. It is a living breathing creature capable of living within anyone’s life who simply opens themselves up to the mysteries of accepting love, the intrigue of growing, and the puzzles of contradicting or tricking one’s self into the realms of excellence, of being oneself. This is the core of existence, and the teaching of the Grandparents, the Ancestors, the God, and the Goddess who serve us!” –Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories (May 2, 2010)

  1. Very beautiful words and yes they stand by themselves.
I appreciate every thing you write, because I feel it in my heart.
You know you say it so that every one can understand and learn something from it. If already known then it makes your heart happy.
Thank you so much for your words, my spirit is brimming with joy.
I say this because sometimes you can get in a low point where you may say, why I am this way, where people hurt because you have a good heart?
But then I, I see what the other person is saying and brush it off. The reality of it all it might be because they cannot find happiness within themselves.
I can say now, yes I do know what happiness is.
