MARRIED TO CHRIST?

The only times I've heard this type of reasoning was was within Black Christian churches of the fundamentalist persuasions. It tripped me out hearing women, mostly, talking about being married to Jesus; being a bride of Christ. Their eyes were off. Something strange developed within their spirits over time, and the more they said those things the less likely they were going to remain appealing to the eye. Over time a number of these women created within themselves an odd and odious quality that made trying to envision having sex with them as a wife was a turn off because the ideology affected something precious within them.

Of that number those who were professed virgins, at times, had another type of outcome. If these 'virgins' in their 30's or older were who they said they were at some point their assessments of people, men in particular, became more judgmental and harshness settled within the spaces usually reserved for the reciprocation of love. This had to be frustrating for them sexually. The spirit it created in enough of them turned suitors away, and others in the church, like me, got the hell out of there! The womb, the vagina is not a place of judgement. It is reserved for higher more subtle elements of creation, and creative forces of calm, building, uniting, pleasure, and relaxation, and expressions of freedom, and the declaration of dreams aching to be birthed in the birth canals of a man's wife! - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 8.31.12
