“Suit and watch chain remind me of my great-Grandfather, Pops. He wore a three-piece suit, brown, all the time. Moved so smooth being dap and all. Cool kinda ran in the style of them old cats, and trinkled down. Got lost amongst most of the young men. They into low esteem, and feeling sorry for they selves. Really believe the white man holding dim down. He is, but theys too much freedom of movement to keep a cat down a long time; less he like it like that. I guess.

Don't know if Jim Crow meant give up, but with all the benefits, and gifts of times passed left to 'dem kids you'd think they'd understand how easy it is to move around with all that freedom dey got. But no. They can't see too far, and it is in their dress, their walk.

Not this cat, Nick Cannon. He's alright. Believes in himself. It shows. In everything he does it shows. A lot of cats like that in towns cross the country, but they got it hard trying to be themselves while they own kind think being good, and clean, successful with dreams are for whites only.
