How far have we come? The Rubin Stacy Story |
Not very far. If we, Black Americans, were able to remove our lips from the tits of white approval, and resurfaces with an agenda that reevaluates power and our distant relationship to true power, and what it is, learns how to go deep and unearth the source of our tragedies in the tangle web of a jacked up belief system then maybe, just maybe the respect that we think we are owed will be given by the powers of the world, and the people of the world will not see us victims, and characters, and our validation cease to be white approved. If these things happen the Rubin Stacy and the Zimmerman incidents will not repeat themselves... - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories
