Eartha Kitt dancing the jitterbug with one of the Nicholas brothers !!!!

"... had to be a memorable moment for everyone there. Remembering the times this was a show stopper for the white patronage. So, the only Colored folks were in the kitchen, or onstage. For the whites it was an explosion of moments and awe seeing how the Jitterbug was supposed to be done. It was the same explosive energy whites felt in the 1980's when Break dancing grew out of the Soul Train dancing into something beyond their physical and emotional capacity to dance, or move their bodies!" - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 12.13.15
