GIFT TO YOUTH
![]() |
Medicine Wheel created by Jackie Fawn. |
There is a deep pleasure being charming on purpose, being in love, looking good and enjoying it, and loving life that has to be a part of youth. Without those ingredients how can we say we enjoyed life? Each stage tells us more about ourselves. From each stage important progressions lead us to higher states of being authentic. That is how the Creator made us. Let us rejoice in it and be glad!
It can all be summed by reading the script of her tattoo, or recognizing it in our hearts: 'kept together by love.' - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories Dec. 21, 2016

Father's songs daughters carry

There is something soft within women whose lines of perception come from their relationships with their fathers, who loved and adored their daughters. Some women can portray this look as a style, but women who carry it from and as a heart song wear it naturally. They cannot help it. If a photographer captures it does the viewer know what he or she is looking at, or do wounded spirits respect what they did not receive as a child? These questions trod upon the frayed edges of bitterness many come from to embody. For healers the questions I raised are best answered by fathers from the Priest craft not popularly known today.

MYSTERTY Mysterious

nude study of Hot Lyke Fiya |
"Mystery. Mystery. Mystery can be displaced, shattered, devalued, demystified leaving a woman with nothing of substance to hold on to or give away from heart to heart. The question to a relationship with a woman is based upon the depth of manhood and the developmental process to become a man. Without vision neither a man, or a woman can be the right mate and without a life vision a woman cannot hold the mysteries she was born to possess because vision allows one to see with clarity and clarity sits opposite Power in the sacred teachings of the Medicine Wheels." - Gregory E. A STORY I KNOW. . .
"Sitting in the womb-circle, the symbol of where she came from, and where the lovers of her life have returned to replenish their spirits in the ethers of time and space is the sacred act of a mysterious woman in need of being herself within herself. The art of it, the Sacred Medicine Wheel she sat in is the story of Birth (your birth), and Life (all life), and Death from the illusions of a false sense of Eternity, and separation..." © GregoryE. ELDER TALK: teach the strength.
PART 71
Deeper teachings of the Warrior
Deeper teachings of the Warrior
“At the deeper levels of warriorship relationships are developed within the warrior's spirit between the ability to restore life, the ability to kill, the skill of listening and the ability and power to make covenant with one's death, another person, or the Creator.
...
Within the man is the responsibility to restore and maintain the energy of the sacred trust between his women (daughters, mother, sisters, grandmothers, and elders), his children (his and others), and the Earth, our Mother. The Priest-Warrior’s prerequisite is his relationship with his own Death. The Woman Warrior must care for the Womb she carries. It is the life-force superior to the guns, the arrows, knives, and fighting styles learned in dojos. She carries Life, and every Man of Power knows the divine word that draws them back to the Womb connects them to the source of Life within her Womb.
These Medicine Wheel teachings are fundamental to these Warrior Songs I am sharing…”

The Great I AM
Photography by Omer H. Paracha
This is a powerful Medicine Wheel teaching, and it is an extreme assertion to the mind of many a fundamentalist of Islamic and Christian leanings, and would lead them to harsh judgement, and condemnation of the artist and his conceptual pull towards 'divinity from within'. One person may be a Seeker who discovered with delight the indwelling power of Creation and the Creator exists not as an intellectual abstraction, or a distant authority but as a living entity within and throughout the essence of Life. These people immediately grasp the sanctity of Knowing, and their presence upon the Earth, our Mother transforms darker properties of coarse elements such as judgement into forms of light. That is how enlightenment works.
I guess it is save to say, "Beauty and Art are in the eye of the beholder, as well as the Sacred is within the body of Belief."
The deep probes into the psyche have traditionally been the way of the Shaman, the Healer who took care of the People in smaller social structures (sedentary tribes, towns, nomadic tribes). But, the time of the one-on-one tutelage to pass down spiritual and sacred knowledge to an apprentice has been forced to become an old model. The population has exceeded any projected number. Only the dreams of Seers, long dead saw these vast numbers of people upon the planet. Moses saw it, but few solutions to the complexity of living were revealed, and the art and responsibility of taking care of the soul, and the collective of souls (community) was left to the design of each era's spiritual people. This form of survival challenged the emotions and the tactics, and responsibilities of traditional healers, and Shaman forcing a creativity upon the lot of them to 'see' into the futures of their times.
My Grandfather-Teacher, Ojuku, was slow and meticulous. Our one-on-ones held us tight together for decades. I felt the shifts in my being within the context of our very private and intimate settings. The secrecy was a style of learning. It was linked to the dangers he faced first accepting and then learning his craft alone for many years. I asked him once to write a book.
He said, "No. You will write my book."
Interesting aside: Old Man was right. I would write his story in my living and service. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 8.29.13

"In the sacred Medicine Wheel teachings the four parts of what makes us human sees the body as the carrier. The other four elements of the 'who' of who we are need development in parallel, or concentric circles. How does one become who they are meant to be without the balance of the four?" - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 2.24.15

Our languages
![]() |
Buddha within Tracey Marie Starks |
At the request of my niece I recently spoke at her high school on language and culture from the perspective of the indigenous people of Turtle Island. It is a complex subject with pain, deep pain in our relationship with the White People. In the intimacy of the classroom setting I thought this a perfect way to convey deep truths to young minds about themselves in relation to the invisible worlds around them. Aside from the discussions about my people's languages I could not learn coming up, and the European languages I learned growing up I learned languages from the Earth, our Mother that took the children far away from what they thought they knew about language. The animal spirits who come with each of us into the world at birth; the Animal People, Plant People, and insects who speak to each other and others who would, or need to listen to their spirits are heard through a language they own, and share with us. Our receptivity is a gift to them, our disregard of them is our shame and misfortune.
You should not shame children. You entice them, spark their imagination, or leave them wondering and curious about things if you want the relationship with them. Through story they will come to listen to the Elders, and recognize the messages from the Realms of Ancestors. A life lived by the story, and stories you tell keep them attentive to who you are, and what you can gift them as they become who they are meant to become.
The other language of Native people is in our symbols. Our Medicine Wheel teachings are powerful womb teachings. The concepts they can reveal relating cardinal points with directions from each quadrant's place within the Circle is a force gentle upon knowing the need for understanding, and the requirements of maturation are the needed places to fortify the structure of mind, body, spirit and emotions of each initiate...

Coloured thoughts of, about and for Life
Someone must've said these words, "Love is a symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of a beginning and all fear of an end." Who said them? This is one deplorable things about the Internet. The overwhelming numbers of people without journalistic training, respect for scholarship in possession with scant knowledge about intellectual properties and the courtesies around it. ~ Gregory E. Power of 2 Circles
The Workout Of The Day
The spiritual aspect of life is certain and very much a part of who we are. The white man saw the world different. For him circles had to have a physical function, and from his practical frame of reference wheels were developed for wagons, bicycles, cars, trains etc. For people indigenous to the lands of the Blacks, of Turtle Island, or Australia, for example, the circle became a teaching tool, and reflected in their stories the circle was where they came from and how relationships were interwoven with spheres of influence from world to world, belief to knowing and understanding of the world(s). In today's lexicon circles are a part of the structures surrounding us entering our conversations when revelations come full circle!
The question of the day asks where are you on the Sacred Medicine Wheel your life is governing itself with? - Alowan Chanteh Inyan Wichasha (Gregory E. Woods) 6.4.14

LET'S TALK: religion or truth
Murpho's Rods and Customs
"I believe that Karma is like a seed, what you plant grows, and what you send out into the universe, returns to you double." - Charles A. Turner
"I've had several conversations with Atheists since coming out with my "Gospel of inclusion" and found most of them to be some of the kindest and most thoughtful people with some of the most sublime comments about God I've ever heard. Some of them secularize their ideas about divinity or "God", but often display more Christ like character than many who call themselves Christians. It seems their logic is based more on faith in humanity than faith in a God of fear and wrath. I think Jesus would loved to have hung out with them." - Carlton Pearson
"I have observations about atheists. They are often former members of some Church somewhere. They are the nemesis to unlearned behavior, and a direct challenge to non-thinking, faith-based religious views. Anyone brave enough to see what their 'faith' looks like under critical analysis by well read and thoughtful people will be the better for the experience."

Minister to FEAR
The dynamic poet, novelist, playwright, and social critic, James Baldwin said, 'when you see fear, don't run from it, run towards it.' Interesting thought. Here's my spin. Fear will cripple you from achieving happiness. Fear will stunt your growth and development. Fear will remind you of can't and impossible. When you run towards fear, you become strong. Don't fear going into business. Don't fear relationships. Don't fear going back to school. Don't fear living better. Don't fear the impossible. Faith in God will get you through, carry you through, and be with you. - Dr-Sinclair N. Grey III

"What if we could live the life we truly see our self living to start a learning curriculum for children?" -Mereana Taki
"What is your philosophy on leadership? How do you inspire your team to do their best?" Nelson Mandela asked of Francois.
"By example."
"That is right. That is exactly right. But how to get them to be better than they think they can be? That is very difficult I find. Inspiration perhaps, how do we inspire our self to greatness when nothing else will do? How do we inspire everyone around us?
I sometimes think it is by using the work of others... We need inspiration, Francois because in order to build our nation we must all exceed our own expectations."
from the movie INVICTUS depicting a conversation between Nelson Mandela and Francois.

WOMEN'S WHEEL

http://i49.tinypic.com/li6ts.jpg
The Medicine Wheels unique to women are intricately linked to the revolving lives of men. How? is a study. Lifetime studies begin within, and within oneself is the purpose of study, and reconciliation. As many circles (Medicine Wheels) are there to study are as many aspects of one's Being understanding its need to be studied. One leads to another, and back again in ever evolving circles. There is a major link in a Manhood Wheel important to the relationship between the best of masculinity, and the feminine. It reads as it is lived.
The four (4) cardinal points of the Wheel, North (King), East (Teacher), South (Friend), and West (Warrior) are linked with an important Circle of Womanhood in the western point of the Manhood Wheel. You have to visualize this. It is important to see and feel where, and how the energies of the Manhood Circle in the West interlocks with the eastern gate of this Woman's Wheel. It is East meets West.
The Eastern direction for the Woman's Circle is the Healer. The Healer with the capacity and experience of birthing life into the Earth's sphere balances, and teaches both the Protector, which is the ideal, and the Killer, which American communities are masters of creating within their children. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 8.25.13
