The West is not better.Our social progress has been made in small and medium steps. The biggest enemy to women's rights worldwide has proven to be the strict religious conservative elements of the major religions. That reality even threatens what we've gained here in the United States.
The American education system makes us Indians invisible for reasons I won't discuss here. But, here in Indian country the number of Indian woman's raped and dead bodies scattered about is staggering, unsettling and terrifying! We are laughing at those people in the Middle East as if there is no relationship between us and them. I may be tied to the Republican party, but I didn't stop studying, traveling and listening to the stories of every person who has shared their stories with me." - Gregory E.
