A Study in Manhood.

Mia Malkova in tennis shoes and jean shorts defines a special. Understanding the special is fundamental to the riddle of a whore's dynamic role. The perspective of a whore has two eyes: how a man uses her, and what the healer needs to help her healing the angst of her soul. It is pondered, the theft of soul, understanding why she is important to the equation of vitality vs. elements that detract from the whole, and the need for wholeness whores express in their actions.

It may sound like a riddle; it is, but on the outside of that vernacular is understanding of the human condition that created a role for a woman to play. When in our collective history did the two-sided role the whore plays within forget men's role as a whore himself? If a whore is merely a woman's role the denial of men cannot possibly follow the rules of simple math: (x + y = z).

- Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 9/25/18

Mia Malkova soft in this purple ensemble and in this position tugs hard at the loins. In the code of deep manhood the determinative element is within the will. But, the will has to be defined. Is a man a whore, the woman a whore, and if so how does one devalue what she does not have as an estimated value to honor? - Dawn Wolf, Keeper of Stories 9/25/18

Clarity from Storms

Unbelievable! What a series of stories in your face!

Debra Robinson, a light worker's face tells its stories.

It is as if a wave insight shocked the body. In the eyes the lights coming and growing intensity and fading briefly until another wave aware of more came and shocked once yet again!

It is hard to explain the aftermath of clarity without describing the violent storms of fire and force to jar the soul's heart to think and feel more intelligence. Beyond that it is the life of the individual living with clarity of eye, knowing in the body, fire in the heart and commitments to walk anew a new path in the same direction that has been calling your steps the length of your lifetime upon Earth, our Mother.

These are my words.

Grandmother Lakshmikutty

"This ancient knowledge can be received gratefully, but the sadness of her place in the world is how many don't have the relationships this Grandmother comes from and has to share with people, who need her, but are disconnected from the world she knows.

I marvel how she bridged a gap 'experts' claim cannot happen.
Lakshmikutty has the memory skill of those not influenced by Western energies and she has Western education that would and can and does limit the capacity of the mind to remember 500 medicines in a lifetime. That is beyond surfing. It is the medium work of those in the world we live in and not in the world most live in. She lives within and lives without the ego that makes Western living feel better than it is
." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories [4.25.17]

Grandmother of the jungle: This Kerala tribal woman can prepare 500 medicines from memory

By Haritha John on March 10, 2017 in Health and Hygiene

She lives in a small hut with a palm leaves roof in a tribal settlement, deep in the forest of Kallar in Thiruvananthapuram district.

Lakshmikutty, a 75-year-old tribal woman is a poet, poison healer and teacher at Kerala Folklore Academy.

With medicinal herbs and plants surrounding her small hut, hundreds trek to the forests to visit Lakshmikutty, who offers herbal treatment for poisoning. But it’s not only medicine that she has to offer but she also helps calm those affected with her gentle words, which can last for hours.
All her knowledge on herbal treatment, she says, was passed on from her mother, who worked as a midwife. And with neither Lakshmikutty nor her mother making a written record of the medicinal plants and their uses, the Kerala Forest Department has decided to compile a book based on her expertise.

“I can prepare about 500 medicinal treatments from memory. Till now I have not forgotten them. But people come here for poison treatment mainly snake or insect bites,” she says.

Her dream, she says, is to convert her hut into a small hospital, where patients requiring long-term treatment can continue to stay.

Many fondly refer to her as ‘Vanamuthassi’ (Grandmother of the jungle in Malayalam) but she is more than just that. Lakshmikutty also gives lectures on natural medicine at various institutions across the southern states.

“I have visited many places outside the forest. Met many people, but I belong here. My heredity exists here,” she notes.

It was in 1995 that Lakshmikutti got noticed by those outside her forest when she received the ‘Naattu Vaidya Rathna’ award (award for naturopathy) from the Kerala government.

“Till then people used to come here after hearing me from those I have already cured. Before 1995 people visited me from far off places but the number increased after I won the award,” she recalls. She has won numerous awards since then, with the latest coming from the Indian Biodiversity Congress in 2016.

Her persistence made her the only tribal girl from her area to attend school in the 1950s. “I still wonder how I went to school. I was persistent that I go to school and my father finally had to agree,” she laughs.  Together with two other boys from her settlement, Lakshmikutty walked 10 kilometres every day to get to school. She, however, studied only until class 8 as her school did not have higher education.

One of the boys she walked to school with, was her cousin Mathan Kaani, who she developed a deep friendship with, that eventually progressed to marriage. “He was with me in all my decisions and achievements. He used to tell me that I can achieve my goals even without him because I was a strong woman. He was the perfect partner from the day I got married at the age of 16 until he died last year,” she recounts.

Not wanting their children to face the same challenges they had undergone as tribals living in the forest, Lakshmikutty and her husband provided their children with a good education.

“I was adamant that my children should study. Nobody in our settlement gets an education, I consider it valuable,” she says.

But tragedy struck Lakshmikutty’s family.

“The most painful incident I have gone through is my elder son’s death. He was killed by a wild elephant,” she recalls. Her younger son also died in an accident. Another son is working as chief ticket examiner for the railways.

But beyond the world of natural medicine, Lakshmikutty is also known for her satirical poems and writings. She has written numerous articles ranging from tribal culture to the forests, which have been published by DC Books.

Her poems, she observes, can be recited on a rhythm. “These are simple words anybody can recite, it’s not in tribal language as you expect,” she smiles.

And despite all that she’s achieved, the 75-year-old woman insists, “The outer world has given me a lot, awards, honour, published books and so on. But I want to stay here. To live in the forest, you need courage.”

POWER BEFORE AUTHORITY

Grandfather told me this, People think I became a healer overnight, but what they do not know is the suffering and pain one must endure on this lonely road.-Gianni Crow 4.9.17

Eric Rick Darby 's words: "One must go through diversity to strip away what does not serve them and break open your heart so you may heal and become the healer...
All my relations....
May you be blessed..."

First Nation man. artist unknown.

True Power

There is much confusion by many on what power truly is. Grandson remember the words that I am going to speak to you, and teach them to the next generation.

Many believe that power can be bought, sold, or traded. Many believe that being powerful is to be the strongest in number, or the greatest warrior. Some believe that being powerful is being the leader of others, or to have influence over others wills and beliefs.

True power is all around us, yet many do not recognize, or honor it. Power is held within the brilliance of grandfather sun, whose light shines endlessly. Power is within grandmother moon who influences the cycles of the ocean, all females, and the fertility of mother earth. It is the whispering mystery of a gentle breeze. The crashing sounds of the thunder beings as they create rain. It is the remembering and honoring of all our relations, and walking the red road.

True power is the heartbeat that connects all of us on mother earth past, present, and future. It is found in our prayers, visions, and in the dreamtime. These are the true powers that many men choose not to speak of.

A couple days after Abena shared this a friend of hers, Randi Payton said "The new pyschos in our mist see hell before it's too late and don't see it after it's too late. We r in a A new reality.

Notes from FitMinds: The New Psychopaths see their wrong before they commit it against you. Then they don't see it after they commit it against you. Then they wonder what is wrong with you

I don't know what to make of his thinking, but then reviewing my time with sick, dangerous people there is an unreasonable breakup of thought patterns that blur lines within their perceptions. I have seen it in killers, women after abortions, men who have wanted to kill their own, and white policemen sick with sexual attachments to brutalizing other men. There is a lot to what Randi Payton said. A lot of examples running freely in towns and cities with no prohibitions. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories [Jan. 22, 2017]

WISDOM OF ICE

Angaangaq Angakkorsuaq

You question the concepts that come to you on the fly from numerous commercials, ads, and print media, if your mind is trained. If not concepts cling like so many wet mosquitoes to your body of knowledge, and you are covered with incomprehension begging for relief like a  helpless child-person. It is not the way of an adult to be characterized thus, but many are content with this condition.

I only say this because it takes clarity to grasp the simplicity of what Angaangaq Angakkorsuaq's mother shared with him about melting the ice in the hearts of men. Clarity brings light as well as enlightenment from one direction in a Medicine Wheel teaching, and makes visible Power(s) in the corresponding direction.

Amongst true healers, and keepers of particular Medicines and Powers of Being it is easy enough a task to unmask, embrace and embody the spiritual responsibilities of melting the ice. But, how does the depth and the simplicity of the message translate into the mundane language and worlds of the many?

It is our task to answer that. - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 5.20.14

Birth & Law

Yesterday

"... There is much to be said on this vast subject of Laws as they pertain to the many divisions or reflections of presentations to show how it is not so. In my Grief and Great Love I sit with I ask Creator what it is that keeps people going on and I marvel that babies still want to come into the world, and I marvel that women still want to birth babies and that men still love women and that women still love men and that humans still love the Earth. I marvel a lot and shiver to my soul to even dare what it would look like if along any of this the Great Love stopped moving and just ended Itself…" - Joan Sunday 2.3.14

PRACTICE TWENTY-ONE

SP7Charcoal by Kimberly Donlon

There is a way some people see other people with states of mind a psychologist may diagnose as a serious disorder needing prescription drugs. The same person seen by a spiritual healer, or medicine person may see into the depths and contrasts of the spirit of the face to interpret the spirit's condition to gauge the fragmentation of the soul, and the trajectory of its shattered pieces. There are terms for people who cannot distinguish faces the way most do. These people see the world of faces in variations that are difficult to explain, but with certain gifts of vision a few artists, and spiritual people can merge with these people and glimpse how the world looks to them. Other times there are musicians whose music is profound in the art of conjuring the images of another's view of the world with sound for others to glimpse the same.

I've seen people's face like this while others saw in the same face a handsome face, and I was left seeing the condition of a soul, a state of mind, or an emotional state forming into something troubled, dangerous, or crazed. Some times a life was saved seeing these things. To save a life at this level of being requires having a voice and practiced action in service to others. - Gregory E. Self-Destructive By Design

ONE

“When your 'dream come true', your Beloved sends you away multiple times does that mean something? Time doesn't heal all wounds. How does, or does a soul recover from that? If her love and spirit, ever a part of your essence, is as alive as the first day what counsel is there for the heart still singing her songs? If love is eternal where it lives what does it become without reciprocation?” - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 12.21.12

There is a poster that reads, "We've raised enough niggas and thugs time to raise some kings!"

One woman said aloud, "Do they know how?"

I thought a moment and said, "By your question, which I take seriously, I can easily assume the onus is upon other people to raise better children. I've learned how to raise 'good' children who are above average now adults living with their own integrity because of how I was parented, and I enjoy sharing what I know, but this is not an American preoccupation. It should be but culturally we are not advancing in the art of developing children. We are more into warehousing and categorizing our children. Development is too deep an art in our country, it seems, and to many Americans outside of their priorities and belief systems."

Crow Woman

THREE

There is a story out about a Black girl who quickly and viciously beat a girl and became an insight celebrity because someone recorded it and posted it online. The police are part of this girl's life because another girl apparently committed suicide as a result of the beating. To date what I've read there are no particulars, but the girl who beat the other girl is letting her 20,000 Twitter followers know about how "... she don't give a fuck!"

No need to comment on this story. It is very much an American pastime and it is deeply embedded in Black culture and applauded.  Only thing that should be done is corrective, but if a people and a person are uninterested in changing or maturing what can you do? If someone wants to die there is little I will do for them. What can you do? To want to die is to want nothing. This girl and millions like her seek nothing, and to seek nothing is to seek death which, is the one thing people like her are typically afraid of, and don't understand in terms, and agreements of relationship.

This is a warrior's stance I am speaking from and the crudeness that celebrates this behavior calls itself a nigger and defends that assertion wholeheartedly  A healer of any race, or tribe and discipline is and will always be baffled by the nigger mentality because it devours itself. There are so many healing tools and healing modalities available to this girl, her family and community and to her people, and niggers, but if not so inclined a healer worthy of his/her craft has no choice but to leave her and them to die unto and within themselves. ~ Gregory E. an Oracle

On Eleven Years as a Modern Oracle

by Jennifer Posada on May 14, 2015

elegant white woman in black dress
"... You see, I was born remembering.  I remembered my past lives as an Oracle, and I knew this was my work in the world.  I remembered my soul journey, and had access to my very ancient wisdom from long ago.  I had watched worlds crumble, and be re-born.  I remembered all the way back to when the earth wasn’t solid yet, and was something we were dreaming into being…dreaming into form.  I remembered how to go to the place of all the information in the universe.  I remembered how to see and talk to beings, who were my friends, and how to see people’s “colors”, or auras, and offer them healing with the energy through my hands.  But my most sacred gift was that I felt the sacredness in all things…the love in all things, and because I felt that I was the most intimate form of this sacred love to myself, I loved myself.  When I saw that the adults around me didn’t know this beautiful love in themselves, I knew, beyond the shadow of a doubt, what I was here to share with the world.
And so I have been sharing it…

I have taught thousands of people all over the world, in nearly 100 countries, and shared my writings with millions of people.  I have written a book, The Oracle Within, that has been received with such beautiful acclaim that I am deeply humbled.  I have taught at the sacred sites of Delphi, Greece, and in the glorious temples of ancient Egypt.  I have sat by the spring where I lived as a Nymph, and gotten teary-eyed letting my gaze fall on the ruins of the sanctuary where the Oracle gave prophecy for 1,000 years at the temple of Apollo, after the Goddess religion was overturned.  I have sailed down the Nile and run with the wind in my hair through great columned halls of temples where the Oracles of Egypt once slid their bare feet along the smooth stone.  I am always both ancient and modern.  I am the same girl who became a Priestess, again, and again, and again, and also the girl who likes to DJ dance parties and listen to loud music driving in my car.  After all, good dance parties are some of the closest experiences to the ancient rituals we once all knew.  All that is missing is the memory of the true power of what we carry inside of us.  And that is coming back.  It is time for what I call in my book, The Oracle Within, “The Great Remembering”..." ~ Jennifer Posada

Elder Stories

Angaangaq and Middle of the Sky Woman's mother

Spider Woman~ ACHOMAWI

Spider Woman's web hung white with frost. Her sixty little spider children shivered as they slept. Snow had fallen every day for months. All the animals were cold, hungry, and frightened. Food supplies were almost gone. No one knew what to do. Blue Jay and Redheaded Woodpecker sang and danced for Silver Gray Fox, who floats above the clouds. Since Silver Gray Fox, the creator, had made the whole world with a song and a dance, Blue Jay and Woodpecker hoped to be answered with blue skies. But the snow kept falling.

Finally the animals decided to ask Coyote. "Coyote's been around a long time, almost since the beginning. He might know how to reach Silver Gray Fox." They went to the cave where Coyote was sleeping, told him their troubles, and asked for help. "Grrrrowwwlll...go away," grumbled Coyote, "and let me think." Coyote stuck his head into the cold air outside and thought till he caught an idea. He tried singing in little yelps and loud yowls to Silver Gray Fox. Coyote sang and sang, but Silver Gray Fox didn't listen, or didn't want to. After all, it was Coyote's mischief-making when the world was new that had caused Silver Gray Fox to go away beyond the clouds in the first place.

Coyote thought he'd better think some more. Suddenly he saw Spider Woman swinging down on a silky thread from the top of the tallest tree in the forest. "Spider Woman's been on Earth a long, long time," Coyote thought. "She's very wise. I'll ask her what to do." Coyote loped over to the tree and lifted his ears to Spider Woman. "Spider Woman, O wise weaver, O clever one," called Coyote in his sweetest voice, "we're all cold and hungry. Everyone's afraid this winter will never end. Silver Gray Fox doesn't seem to notice. Can you help?" Spider Woman swayed her shining black body back and forth, back and forth, thinking and thinking, thinking and thinking.

Her eight black eyes sparkled when she spoke, "I know how to reach Silver Gray Fox, Coyote, but I'm not the one for the work. Everyone will have to help. You'll need my two youngest children, too. They're little and light as dandelion fluff, and the fastest spinners in my web." Spider Woman called up to her two littlest ones. Spinnnnnn! Spinnnnnn! They came down fast, each spinning on eight little legs, fine, black twin Spider Boys, full of curiosity and fun. Spider Woman said, "My dear little quick ones, are you ready for a great adventure?" "Yes! Yes!" they cried. "We're ready!"

Spider Woman told them her plan, and the Spider Boys set off with Coyote in the snow. They hadn't gone far when they met two White-Footed Mouse Brothers rooting around for seeds to eat. Coyote told them Spider Woman's plan. "Will you help?" he asked. "Yes! Yes! We'll help!" they squeaked, and they all traveled the trail towards Mount Shasta until they met Weasel Man looking hungry and even thinner than usual.

Coyote told Weasel Man his plan. "Will you help?" asked Coyote. "Of course," rasped Weasel Man, joining them on the trail. Before long they came across Red Fox Woman swishing her big fluffy tail through the bushes. "Will you help?" asked "Of course, I'll come," crooned Red Fox Woman. Then Rabbit Woman poked her head out of her hole. "I'll come too," she sneezed, shivering despite her thick fur.

Meadowlark wrapped a winter shawl around her wings, and trudged after the others along the trail to the top of Mount Shasta. The snow had stopped, but the sky was still cloudy. On top of Mount Shasta, Coyote barked, "Will our two best archers step forward?" The two White Footed Mouse Brothers proudly lifted their bows.

"Everyone listen," barked Coyote. "If any one of us is only half-hearted, Spider Woman’s plan will fail. To get through the clouds to Silver Gray Fox, we must each share our powers whole-heartedly, our thoughts, our dreams, our strength, and our songs. Now, you White-Footed Mouse Brothers, I want you to shoot arrows at exactly the same spot in the sky."
Turning to the others, Coyote said, "Spider Boys, start spinning spider silk as fast as you can. Weasel ManWhite- Footed Mouse Brothers, Red Fox Woman, Rabbit Woman, and I will sing and make music. We must sing with all our might or the Spider Boys won't make it." "One!" called Coyote. Everyone got ready. "Two!" The animals drew in deep breaths. The Mouse Brothers pulled back their bowstrings.

"Three!" Two arrows shot straight up and stuck at the same spot in the clouds.

"Whiff wiff! Wiff wiff!" sang the White Footed Mouse Brothers. "Yiyipyipla!" sang Red Fox Woman.

"Wowooooolll!" sang Coyote. Rabbit Woman shook her magic rattle. Weasel Man beat his very old and worn elk-hide drum. The Spider Boys hurled out long lines of spider silk, weaving swiftly with all their legs. The animals sang up a whirlwind of sound to lift the spider silk until it caught on the arrows in the clouds. Then the Spider Twins scurried up the lines of silk and scrambled through the opening.

All the while, down below, the animals continued singing, rattling and drumming. The little Spiders sank, breathless, onto the clouds. Silver Gray Fox spied them and called out, "What are you two doing here?" The Spider Boys bent low on their little legs and answered, "O Silver Gray Fox, we bring greetings from our mother, Spider Woman, and all the creatures of the world below. We've come to ask if you'd please let the sun shine again. The whole world is cold. Everyone is hungry. Everyone is afraid spring will not return, ever."

They were so sincere and polite that Silver Gray Fox became gentler, and asked, "How did you two get up here?" The Spider Boys said "Listen, can you hear the people singing? Can you hear the drum and rattle?" Silver Gray Fox heard the drum and rattle and the people singing. When the Spider Boys finished telling their story, Silver Gray Fox was pleased. "I'm happy when creatures use their powers together. I'm especially glad to hear Coyote's been helping too. Your mother, Spider Woman, made a good plan. To reward all your hard work, I'll create a sign to show that the skies will clear. And you two may help.

"First picture the sun shining bright," called Silver Gray Fox. The Spider Boys thought hard and saw the sun sending out fiery rays in all directions. "Now, where sunrays meet the damp air," sang Silver Gray Fox, Picture a stripe of red, Red as Woodpecker's head, add a stripe nearby of bluest Blue Jay blue. The Spider Boys thought hard, and great stripes appeared of red and blue. Silver Gray Fox chanted. Now in between, add stripes of orange, yellow and green! The Spider Boys thought hard. Then, dazzling their eyes, a beautiful bright arc of colors curved across the whole sky above the clouds. It was the very first rainbow.

Meanwhile, down below, beneath the clouds, the animals and people were so cold, hungry, and tired that they had stopped singing and drumming. Spider Woman missed her two youngest children. Each day she missed them more. She blamed Coyote for the trouble. So did the other animals. Coyote slipped away silent, lonely and sad. Above, on the clouds, the Twins rested. Their legs ached and their minds were tired.

Silver Gray Fox said, "You did what I asked and kept it secret. That's very difficult, so I'm giving you a special reward. On wet mornings, when the sun starts to shine, you'll see what I mean." Then the Spider Boys spun down to Earth, and ran back to their mother as fast as they could. Spider Woman cried for joy and wrapped all her legs around her two littlest children. Their fifty-eight sisters and brothers jumped up and down with happiness. All the animals gathered around to hear the Spiders story. When they finished, the Spider Boys cried, "Look up!" Everyone looked up. The clouds had drifted apart. There, bridging sky to earth in a radiant arch was the very first rainbow.

Sun began to warm the earth. Shoots of grass pushed up through the melting snow. Meadowlark blew her silver whistle of spring across the valley, calling streams and rivers awake. Coyote came out of hiding, raced to a distant hilltop, and gave a long, long howl of joy. The animals held a great feast to honor the rainbow, Silver Gray Fox, Spider Woman, the Spider Twins, Coyote, and the hard work everyone had done together.

To this day, after the rain, when the sun comes out, dewdrops on spider webs shine with tiny rainbows. This is the spiders' special reward. You can see for yourself.
