"A young woman's challenge of presentation is not in the presentation, but it is her foundational structure that defines the priorities, the intentions of the woman informing men unable to control their spirits about who she is and how she thinks about herself as a woman. Without tutelage young women ignorantly lose sight of what is precious and sacred to the base elements of being a product and getting branded. Black women and men surprisingly are not able to resist the ramifications of the term branding in connection to freedom and their historical ties to slavery. It is too bad because it leaves succeeding generations at a loss they don't know about." - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories 4/2/15
