Telling a Story

Elizabeth Banks sporting a yellow mini skirt !!!!

Several assumptions are made about beautiful women sighted on any street. White women inspire certain thoughts and reactions. Black women, African women, Thai, and French women inspire other reactions and assumptions followed as faithfully as a loyal pup on the heels of the presence of any of these women. But, famous women in the arts secure a special place in the spheres of perception, and Elizabeth Banks, an actress, is no different if not special because fundamentally she is a 'regular' woman enhanced by honest portrayals of characters that touch people's sensibilities placing a sense of a connection between their lives portrayed on the big screen for a kind, silent validation.

I found a series of pictures with Elizabeth Banks in a yellow mini skirt with purple and indigo heels bare legged with dirt on a knee in a drama about a bicycle she eventually rode. What could she have possibly been doing? What was the story? What was she thinking with her arms crossed, her brow furrowed in concern, or was she angry, or anxious about the delivery of her bicycle? I don't know. Without a byline one could speculate, or do as I will do make up a story. Or just go see the movie she was wearing a yellow dress! - Gregory E. Woods, Keeper of Stories (2015)
