Marilyn Monroe - walked to the spot in NYC where this iconic photo was reputedly shot. It was taken in the wee small hours yet was still attended by throngs of people who managed to get wind of the occasion. It marked the end of her marriage to Joe DiMaggio as it was all he could do but witness and get truly pissed off with the circus of male attention and encouragement from the crowds throughout the many takes and retakes. Quite risqué for the time. - anon
